Scott Dixon Claims Victory at Edmonton, Franchitti Third

EDMONTON, Alberta (July 26, 2010) - Team Target had another strong finish at the Honda Indy Edmonton with Scott Dixon scoring his second win of the season and Dario Franchitti driving the No. 10 Target Honda Dallara home in third.

Dixon lined-up third on the grid and ran in the top-four throughout the race. He picked up second when he passed Will Power on the final restart with three laps to go. Dixon went on to score the victory when he inherited the lead from race leader Helio Castroneves who was issued a penalty for blocking on the restart.

Franchitti started from the fourth position and remained in the top-five throughout the race. He would ultimately finish third to join Dixon on the podium.

Team Target delivered the second win of the day to team owner Chip Ganassi who earlier in the afternoon claimed victory at the Brickyard 400 with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Jamie McMurray. Ganassi became the first team owner to win the Daytona 500, Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 in the same season.

TCGR Quoteboard:
Scott Dixon: "We had a great run with the Target car and kept it in a typical line. It was a tough day. The Target car was pretty loose. I can't believe that we won."

Dario Franchitti: "I guess ultimately it all came down to that last restart with Helio blocking and Scott getting a run on both Will and Helio, getting past Will. I tried to follow him through. We ran side-by-side through the first part of the chicane in turn two, gave each other room. I got to the exit and I was on the marbles. That was it really. Had to back out of it. Ultimately finished third."

Results from Edmonton
1. Scott Dixon, No. 9 Target Honda Dallara
2. Will Power, No. 12 Honda Dallara
3. Dario Franchitti, No. 10 Target Honda Dallara
